Andy Burnham can babble on about "devolution" all he likes, but try telling that to the terrified residents in County Durham having asylum HMOs forced on them behind closed doors. The Home Office and its private contractors are overriding communities, leaving locals terrified and forgotten. When the system refuses to listen to working people, the ballot box is broken. I will never apologise for fighting for our communities against this utter betrayal.

Huge scandal in Italy. The judges in Rome order the Meloni government to release the false asylum seekers deported to Albania waiting to be repatriated to their countries of origin because they consider Egypt and Bangladesh unsafe countries. Why don't these judges respect the will of a democratically elected government and also the will of 60 million Italians? Why do these judges want to flood Italy with criminals?
