Tonight’s carmaggedon continues right now in San Francisco. Ripple effect from Richmond -San Rafael Bridge being shut down for hours today because of a mental health emergency apparently. Heard one driver shouting out her window at top of her lungs, “I want to go home.”

@pitterpatter31 There is no plan to curb any of the challenges caused by mentally ill drug addicts. It’s wild it’s destroyed so much and there is no end in sight.

Took me 3 hours to get from Marin to Alameda only to get to the theater right when the Barbie movie showing I was supposed to catch at 6:30 ended. I need a shirt that says “I survived Barbenheimercarmaggedon” 🥴

Dan, how could one mental health incident shut down the R-SR bridge for over 7 hours?? There's got to be more to this, agree??

This is probably the most busy the city has ever been in the past 3 years.

Doesn't make sense how the San Rafael bridge incident would back up to SF...what am I missing?

Does the chp not have tasers? It seems to be dragged out way longer than needed

It’s been closed for 7+ hours. No estimated time of opening.

City & County needs a plan for this and better communications outreach, have seen nothing on city's social media about this.

It took me 5 hours from SF home to Sonoma! Awful. 37 a nightmare drive!!

I left Larkspur at 6:45 pm to try and get home to El Sobrante/Richmond. Went through SF, took 3 hours and 15 minutes.
