I’m a critic of Blair but this is simply ahistorical nonsense being peddled only to make the present autocratic position look better. The idea that Blair, the man behind New Labour, removing Clause IV, centralisation etc. didn’t change the Labour Party really is for the birds.

Labour isn't serving the country. It's serving the same few that the Tories did.

His more 'disciplined approach' is because he's in a much weaker position than Blair despite the large majority. Blair didn't have to worry about the left of his party so could just ignore them.
