Type 1 diabetes’s onset doesn’t really have to anything to do with being obese/diet. It is usally hereditary or some environmental factor.

Type 1’s are not generally overweight. It’s top 2’s that have diet based insulin issues. Type 1’s are often quite thin and diagnosed at a young age typically 4-12 years Old
