For me, when Nebula took care of Tony after he made his message not unlike a mother caring for a child is when she became my favorite character.

Karen Gillan brought so much to that role it's amazing. Her shock at actually winning something for once! Then followed by the aggressive way she shakes hands, though remaining gentle. Incredible depth of acting.

I honestly wanted more of this dynamic in the movie

Big believer that the 21 days they spent together helped soften Nebula back to her original personality instead of the hardcore always in constant survival mode she was in for the last 20+ years

The lighting the hammer and Hawkeye farm scenes in Age of Ultron and EVERY SINGLE MOMENT like this one are the reason why both Infinity War and Endgame worked: we got to meet these characters as people and humans, not just as demigods and heroes.

"Annnd youve won" Its sad given the context but its also funny that shes so starved for a victory that it baffles her.

When the fuck did she smile?

Nebula never really won a competition aginst anyone till this. Even if it was a frivolous win it was still a win and she looked genuinely happy for it.

You know, now that I looked back at this: This honestly seems like another moment of Tony being a pretty great father figure

This man literally brought joy to everybody in the MCU 👀 if he’s playing Dr. doom, I cannot wait to see how people react to what he looks like. Apparently that’s a whole totally different character. It would probably be tragic and traumatizing.

I wish we got more scenes between Nebula and Tony. Would've loved to see something like Nebula complaining about some of her circuitry while Tony is in Earshot, and Tony offers to drastically improve on her cybernetics.

I unironically think this is a top 3 moment in the mcu.

Characters that fans had lived with, some for over a decade. This was a beautiful and appropriate segment.

I missed the smile

To me,one of the strengths of the MCU was that everyone brought their A-game to it. RDJ was brilliant as Stark, & Karen Gilliam, layered in makeup yet still giving the sense of a world of pain & anger behind it all, & the realisation that happiness could be something she deserved
