COACHES: I'm not a fan of the 3 players up and a defensemen back faceoff alignment on the PK. With a clean faceoff win for the PP, it creates a 2v1 with the two high PP players and the inside forward on the PK who is now isolated. It leaves the PK really vulnerable for a quick strike. This goal is the perfect example. NJ wins it clean back and Hughes is able to find Meier right away for the goal. Great job on the prescout by NJ and execution by the players.

This is one of the greatest feelings a hitter will ever experience… and most players never learn it. This drill has nothing to do with mechanics. It has everything to do with execution. The pitcher mixes fastballs and slow balls. Your only two rules: ⚾ Slow pitch or spin? Don’t roll it over. ⚾ Fastball? Don’t pull it. Now you’re forced to recognize speed instead of guessing. You’re training your eyes, your timing, and your approach—not just your swing. This is one of my favorite two-strike drills because it teaches hitters to trust what they see instead of committing too early. A great swing is important. Knowing when to use it is what separates hitters. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

Guest of Mark Dolan on Talk this morning covering the horrific stabbings on the Doncaster to London King’s Cross train last night. My first thought is for those caught up in this horrendous attack & for the emergency services who were first on the scene to help the victims and arrest the vile criminals who launched this attack. The number one job of any government is safety of the public. Time to stop the handwringing, to stop political correctness that has left our police hamstrung for so long and for the government to get tough on crime. I’m afraid the political class has been too PC for too long. If ever there was a moment for change it is now - so we must start taking measures which puts law abiding people first, instead of the human rights of criminals and terrorists.
