Hey Beliver! 🙌 About women’s rights & what’s at stake with this election… Humans around the planet have fundamentally organized civilization around biology for all time. Our biology affords us with fixed categories that correspond with objective truth. The human imagination, on the other hand, is fluid & boundless. Replacing biology with psychology, in terms of how we organize ourselves in society, is one of the worst ideas in human history. It’s the Pandora’s Box of Pandora’s Boxes. A society relies on order. Order in a free society relies on a common truth. Anybody with a hint of critical thought can game out the implications of reorganizing society, not just around psychology, but around psychological disorder. It would be a disaster, and would eventually require an arduous course correction, assuming it didn’t topple the existing system first. Normalizing mental illness is itself a mentally ill undertaking. By affirming it, instead of treating it, we would be surrendering reality to people that are literally removed from it. It makes no sense, and it’s remarkable that this discussion has made it to the national stage, with one of our two major political parties giving it their full-throated support. At the core, they are exploiting mentality ill people, including children, to disrupt the system that they seek to replace. It’s intentional chaos, and if it’s not stopped now, we may never come back from where it takes us. Without a common truth— there is chaos.
