Took a look at the Modal Geometry Node Tools experimental branch there is so much you can do with it This is an experiment by Falk combining it with cloth sim With this you can dynamically grab cloth and tweak it! A little marvelous like #b3d #simulation #blender #blender3d

This is heavily WIP and a draft but you can take a look here (please only comment there regarding developmental discussion, not design or ideas)

Nice, i guess I'll ask the ailly question: how far is it from Marvelous?

XPBD seems like a really good+ fast cloth solver which is pretty stable though I'm sure it will struggle with knots and folded sleeves Its a super solid base but some basic stuff like moving during the operation isn't implemented yet you can look at @Cartesian_C for more examples

it's what i was asking for in blender artists and a guy did this this node is amazing tbh it has a lot of potential if they can make the xpbd better with coll ision and sewing etc it would be amazing

I can't wait for this to come out so I can finally be rid of using Marvelous Designer just to drape clothing on a base mesh lol

that is stellar!! i know it's just a draft right now but i hope this keeps it's momentum, would love to see this land in blender

That cloth topology is really satisfying to watch, especially how the surface settles around the torso. The grab-and-tweak workflow looks incredibly useful.

Whooaaaa that's so cool

Yo banger

Game-changing for Blender

I literally thought it was marvelous designer until i read the tweet. Damn, nice!

También funciona con mangas y cuello?

since this is just the basic cloth solver I am sure it can be extend in a multitude of ways for that

So you added a recursive weight dampener to cloth that slows to a halt in place with added weights to the affected area. Pretty cool concept.
