Paramount confirmed at CinemaCon last night that Top Gun 3 is officially in development, with a script already underway, Tom Cruise returning as Pete Mitchell and Jerry Bruckheimer back as producer. Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is also returning to pen the screenplay, though no director has been announced yet.
