YES! The farmers market is the best place to circumvent the corporate bullshit and help real Americans, while also getting the highest quality products available.

Country folks get it right. Good manners, a fair price for honest work, and your word is your bond. Just can't really find that in the cities.

It’s less common in the cities but I have found the farmers market is one of the places you can consistently find these types of values (even in the city).

Called them "Swap Meets" back in the day

We still do, but generally the Swap Meets are MUCH bigger and are more like cross between a garage sale and EBay than an actual Farmers Market.

I went on a road trip last summer and on my last day I stopped at a farmers market in Tuxedo, NY and there were LOTS of great vendors like this. If you’re in the area on the weekend, check it out!
