Topical but I remember a few years back someone citied a driver having a crash comp over two minutes as proof they couldn’t be that good and I pointed out that if you’re bored enough and have the time you can actually make anyone look ass

I want to be really clear about this: I am not shaming anyone and I am not calling anyone out. This video isn’t about one person or one comment. It’s about something I’ve watched happen over and over again in my comment sections throughout my journey. Someone mentions conventional eggs, affordable meat, a rotisserie chicken, canned food, whatever they can actually afford, and inevitably somebody shows up to tell them why it’s “unhealthy,” “toxic,” or why they should be buying pasture-raised, grass-fed, local, farm fresh, etc. But almost nobody offers an accessible solution. That’s the part I’m tired of. We cannot assume everyone has the same money, equipment, transportation, grocery stores, time, energy or access that we do. That’s a privileged way to look at food. I know what it’s like to do grocery math. Just a few weeks ago I was rationing my electrolytes and eating mostly eggs because I had $17 to my name. So when I talk about making food accessible, this isn’t theoretical for me. All I’m trying to do here is help people make the best choices they can with what they actually have available to them. If that means buying two affordable rotisserie chickens and turning them into 15 meals, I’m going to celebrate that. If someday that person can afford something they consider more optimal, wonderful. But optimal and accessible are not synonyms. If you’re going to tell someone their choice isn’t good enough, offer them a realistic alternative they can actually afford. Otherwise, you’re not helping. You’re just judging.
