Honestly dude you should be pitching this system to Municipalities, B2G (business to government) as an INTERNAL tool, that citizens can use!

You're reading my mind. The citizen side is proving the model, 226,818 assets mapped, reports landing with exact asset IDs. The municipal side is the natural next step. I'm not waiting around though, shipping something new every week. Voice reporting, infrastructure mapping, community confirmations, just keep building.

When you report a clogged drain, the report includes the exact asset ID from the city's database. A city worker searches the ID, knows exactly which drain. Not "somewhere near Main and Danforth." The exact one. like this one

Haven't looked into OpenClaw yet but I like the idea. SolveTO is already using AI to analyze photos and generate reports, connecting it to an agentic layer makes a lot of sense. Would love to explore that. Thanks for the pointer.

Thanks Jay! Honestly I was surprised too 😊, every catch basin, hydrant, and litter bin has its own city asset ID. I thought, why not put that in the report so city staff can find the exact one? Faster than calling 311 to describe a location or filling long forms. More datasets coming. If you spot anything broken out there, give it a try.

Cameras in vehicles could detect and auto report this. Layer in an incentive program, just like mapping and you have a city system auto reporting all issues as soon as they are noticed. Taxis, Uber Drivers pretty much anyone who spends all day on the road is a conduit to solution

Exactly right, council is actually studying that now (AI cameras on city vehicles, report due Q3 2027). Until that infrastructure exists, every person walking past a blocked drain is already a sensor. SolveTO just gives them the button to press!

How long did it take you to make this?? How you get all the assets??

Ideation 3hours. Couple weeks for the core tool, shipping updates daily. The assets come from Toronto Open Data the city publishes all of it. I just mapped them and made them reportable.

Is there a creative geogaming aspect that can be integrated into it like Pokémon go to draw further interest into it and help keep assets viable ?

Been thinking about this a lot actually. Gamification makes sense, community leaderboard is already live ( with scores based on contributions. But there's more to explore: neighbourhood challenges, streaks, badges for first-to-report or most confirmations. Open to ideas on what would actually resonate and not feel gimmicky. The goal is real civic engagement, not just points.

Great question. Still early, live since mid-February so building up the data. Every report on SolveTO is public and trackable though, so the numbers will be there as it grows.

100%. That's the metric that matters. We track resolution on our end, but i don't have access to the city resolution data, so a direct comparison isn't possible yet. I want to and my analytics tools are ready. That's exactly the kind of transparency we're pushing for.
