@TPCan_Official This is simply cultural enrichment, and anyone who says otherwise is a racist and needs to be sent to a taxpayer funded DEI camp

@TPCan_Official Paying passengers on the TTC are treated worse than livestock. Enforcing fare payment would be a good start in improving transit ambience.

@TPCan_Official This is why Canada needs to approve autonomous vehicles quickly. Then we can have a safe fleet of Tesla Cybercabs. No more dirty drugs to deal with or unsafe criminal drivers attacking woman . Door to door safe personal transportation.

@TPCan_Official The homeless know that they can get away with doing this shit (lol) because they know that no one will say anything, no one will confront them, and they won't be punished. They take advantage of our empathy, and use their mental illness as an excuse to be degenerates.

It is deeply upsetting to watch people mock or dismiss individuals who say their lives were changed after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Many of us did what we were told was the responsible thing. We went to work, went to school, trusted the system, and never imagined we could end up dealing with lasting health problems afterward. None of us asked to become disabled. None of us asked to lose our careers, independence, health, or quality of life. None of us wanted to spend years searching for answers. That is why the lack of mainstream attention surrounding testimony at the Allison Inquiry has been so frustrating. When people are publicly sharing deeply personal stories about illness, disability, medical treatment, and their experiences with the healthcare system, those stories deserve serious examination—not ridicule. You can support vaccination policy and still have compassion for someone who believes they were injured. You can disagree politically and still listen. Seeing some people on the political left laugh at or belittle people describing serious health struggles is especially difficult. Mocking a disabled person because their experience challenges your political beliefs is not compassion or progress. For many people, this is not an internet debate. It is their everyday life. We are not asking everyone to automatically agree with every claim. We are asking people to listen, investigate the evidence, report on the testimony, and treat those suffering with basic human dignity. Victims deserve answers. Victims deserve medical support. Victims deserve to be heard. Where was the coverage from CBC, CTV, Global News and other major Canadian outlets while these testimonies were being heard? Canadians should be asking why these stories receive so little attention. #Canada #AllisonInquiry #PatientVoices #MedicalTransparency #HealthCare #Accountability #ListenToPatients Copyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976: allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, and research. 🚨 “I’m going to shoot all of you!” Canada Must Treat a Death Threat on a Toronto Sidewalk as a Crime A free country is judged by what it allows on an ordinary street. Circulating video from Toronto shows a man wearing a People’s Republic of China flag patch confronting Falun Gong practitioners at a public display, grabbing banners that read “Stop Persecution of Falun Gong” and “Stop CCP Transnational Repression,” and leaving poles and signs on the ground. On the original audio, he can be heard saying: “The Ethnic Unity Law is now in effect. I’m going to shoot all of you.” That is not political argument. It is an alleged death threat, delivered in Canada, against people exercising a Charter right to worship and to protest. A Chinese statute has no force on a Toronto sidewalk. A man invoking Beijing’s law as a license to execute believers in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is importing a police-state slogan onto Canadian soil. Toronto Police Service should preserve every second of the original audio, identify the speaker, and determine whether the words meet the Criminal Code test for uttering threats, alongside possible assault and mischief. The Ontario Attorney General and federal public-safety officials should not treat this as a noisy quarrel between “community groups.” If the speaker is linked to United Front work or consular direction, that belongs in an RCMP and CSIS file. Canada already knows the pattern: harassment of Falun Gong practitioners, pressure on families, and hoax bomb threats that disrupted Shen Yun in Toronto this year. A filmed threat to have people shot is the moment when “awareness” must become enforcement. Investigate the video. Transcribe the audio. Charge whoever broke the law. Give the targeted practitioners a public accounting. A democracy does not prove its values by lecturing Beijing. It proves them by making clear that “I’m going to shoot all of you” is a crime in Canada, not a talking point from another country’s statute book.

When you pay sales tax, your money goes up to Ottawa and Queen’s Park. I’m moving a motion for Toronto to finally receive a share of the HST, to invest in the services you rely on here in your city, every day. Please sign the petition: It’s budget season again in Toronto and the cracks are showing between the City’s revenue and the services that the City is expected to provide. For decades, provincial and federal governments have downloaded responsibilities to the City including roads, shelters, courts, daycare, public health and more. Today, approximately 27% of Toronto’s property tax revenue is spent funding extensions of federal and provincial responsibilities. But even as Toronto is told to take on more, the province prescribes what revenue tools are available to the City, and has restricted them almost exclusively to taxes on property. Toronto is one of Canada’s primary economic engines. The Toronto region generates 20% of the national GDP, 20% of Ontario’s jobs, and attracts more than 28 million annual visitors. This level of economic activity is enabled by the investments our city has made in social and civic infrastructure, including affordable housing, public health, roads and transit. We host people from across the country and around the world at events like Taylor Swift concerts, the World Series, and the FIFA games, which generates tens of millions of dollars in tax revenue for the provincial and federal governments. Meanwhile, the City shoulders the costs of additional policing, emergency services, transit, and crowd management that make these events possible. The math doesn’t work. Without any other source of revenue, municipalities have been forced to hike property taxes, cut vital services and delay critical infrastructure investments just to stay afloat. If Toronto is expected to continue driving national prosperity, it must be granted access to revenue tools that are predictable, reflect our investments, and grow with the economy. No more “new deals”. No more begging for one-time ad hoc program funding. It’s time for Toronto to have a fair share of the HST.

#WATCH | Delhi | On CJP protest, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "When a non-violent protest is taking place, what is the reason for a lathi-charge? Lathi charge is not an act of non-violence. It is an act of violence. I don't understand the logic of this. Similarly here in Parliament, everyone knows these are burning issues across the country. It would be logical to have a discussion on them. Parliament is supposed to be the place where we can ventilate the voice of the people, the concerns of the people. Once we do that, we all know the government has a majority. As the old saying goes, the Opposition must have its say because the government will have its way. They have the majority. But at least let parliament be a forum where these concerns can be heard, can be truly ventilated and voiced, where various people can represent the views of their constituents. Then the government can disagree. But right now, just refusing a discussion is what has led to today's disruption because the opposition wanted these issues up there, wanted an opportunity to talk about them on the floor of the house. If Parliament is not for raising these issues, then honestly, what is it for? I mean, it can't just be a sort of notice board for the government to announce its bills and get them passed with a rubber stamp. That's not what Parliament is all about. It should be a forum where all these views can be heard, discussed, debated as necessary and then passed. The Prime Minister has sought cooperation from the opposition. We'll cooperate if they cooperate. The idea should be that there should be mutual cooperation. Let them permit certain discussions. This has got to be give and take. That's the way Parliament is supposed to function."
