Almost all ROCOR priests are bivocational, the Society of St. John had to raise donation money internally to pay for this trip for those who couldn’t afford it, and regular American Orthodox Christians used their hard earned days off from work to attend this event. You should be embarrassed about speaking on things you don’t understand. ROCOR was literally founded as an alternative for the Faithful when Moscow was under Soviet control. They don’t receive a dime from Moscow. Not to mention this event included Greeks, Antiochians, Serbs, OCA, and all others who recognize this issue transcends jurisdictions. The UOC faces persecution from both sides, this is an issue of humans rights, not politics.
