I’m sure you have the technology to give all Octopus customers regardless of having a smart meter 1 free hour of electricity at certain times, although I suspect that you chose not to do it, no doubt you’ll come back and state it’s not possible..🤦🏻

@OctopusEnergy It’s not a reward, it’s a sneaky way of trying to force people to get a smart meter fitted. This is not the first time and it definitely won’t be the last. I reiterate my last comment that Octopus should show loyalty to all customers, not just people who have a smart meter..😠

I’d rather you sort this- charge cap is set, I don’t override, yet it’s showing I’m peak rate charging on EV. The fact the Home & EV screens are the same suggests this is not providing the right information. I’ve been billed but no option to view the PDF - overcharged??

I received an email allegedly from Octopus about free power relating to the eclipse. However, the initial greeting has an underscore _ in front of it which is different to every other email. Looks like a mistake a hacker would make. I'm steering clear.

That’s right Paul - during the eclipse, the moon will knock out a bunch of solar during peak times when it's most needed, meaning the grid will be under strain. If you can take part, we’ll give you an hour of free elec on Sunday as a reward 👉 🐙⚡

I will. It highlights what a poor grid system the UK has. If we have a cold winter I can see rolling blackouts. All thanks to successive Governments having ministers with zero knowledge

Plug your EV in regularly they said, power down during the eclipse and get an hour free electric on Sunday they said, then THEY choose to charge said plugged-in EV from 7-8 whe solar is at its lowest. Not impressed… ☹️

Household runs on 28.6kWh battery pack. Most of the time it’s pulling nothing from grid all day long. How can I use less?
