President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has arrived in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, for a three-day State Visit at the invitation of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. The visit marks President Nandi-Ndaitwah’s first State Visit to Tanzania since assuming office and underscores the enduring bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two sister republics. Namibia and Tanzania share a historic relationship forged during Namibia’s liberation struggle, when Tanzania provided unwavering political, diplomatic and material support to the Namibian people in their quest for freedom and independence. Tanzania also hosted many Namibians in exile, cementing ties that have endured across generations. Today, that shared history remains the bedrock of a strong and growing partnership, with both countries committed to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, agriculture, tourism and other areas of mutual interest. The State Visit provides an opportunity for the two leaders to further deepen bilateral relations while charting new pathways for economic cooperation, regional integration and shared prosperity for the people of Namibia and Tanzania.
