i love the way hyunjin answers this 🥺 skz will forever be 8 🥹 Q. hyunjin-ssi was there a moment (from the tour) that left a deep impression on you? 🥟 honestly when we first planned the stadium tour i was kinda unsure. i remember feeling anxious at first thinking "could we really fill all those seats with just our STAY?" but seeing the venues packed full and seeing everyone coming in just to see us made me feel so grateful for living the life i'm living. 🥟 what made this tour so meaningful was that we were able to reaffirm/strengthen the member's resolve. when you live together for a long time there are things that inevitably happen but throughout this tour i think we became even more tightly united. our team is already known for having really good teamwork, and really it is good, but during the tour it felt even more like, "if we fall apart, we'll die." that really stands out in my memory from the tour. and i was so thankful to STAY for being with us

I’m so proud of you — My JAMES ❤️ 🦅 : Everyone, to be really honest, today is our 1st anniversary and also our Birthday Party, but at the same time, this is the last Korean stop of this tour. Ever since we came back to Korea, I really thought, “Ah, I really want to hear people call out the name ‘JAMES’ in Korean.” So hearing my name made me really happy. It felt so good. Looking back, we’ve taken on so many challenges and tried so many new things through this tour. In a way, a lot of this was a first for us too. This was our first time doing our own solo shows like this, so I was really worried before we started. But as we went through the tour, I feel like we grew so much in such a short amount of time. When I look at my members, at these guys, I feel really proud of them. I’m also so thankful to everyone who has been by our side and helped us along the way. And as we traveled from city to city and met so many different COERs, every single one of you supported us and genuinely cheered us on. Mind-blowing musicianship in this clip, allow me to break it down: Anderson gives a countoff and the chaotic intro ensues, then in bar 7 Anderson gives a triplet in a distinctly slower tempo which the keyboard player picks up perfectly – you see his head bop as he pulls the tempo back, lazily arpeggiating as Anderson says "ooh!" and smiles, he digs it. Anderson is absolutely the front man but he's always listening to his guys, playing off them (must be a blast being in his group). Then Anderson cues the band with "Alright, check it out" – he let the vamp simmer a little longer than he did on the album version, had to let it get cooking properly. By the time he gets to "Your Heart Don't Stand a Chance" they're locked in, slower than the album version but it's a different environment with fewer instruments in a cramped space which affects how a band plays. That's the beauty of live music, you never know what's gonna happen even if you're in the band, hence Anderson saying "Let's see how we're gonna do this" at the top, even he's not sure. There's a good reason this video has 122M views (I think about 10M of them are me).

jungsu's thoughts on beautiful mind tour 🥺😭🫂❤️ 🐱 personally, i think... it was a tour that made me stop feeling scared about performing 🦊 were you scared before? 🐱 yeah, there used to be at least one thing that made me worry or hesitate a bit, but this time, i could go on stage without any of that, just comfortably. it really felt like that kind of tour 🐶 so your confidence went up? 🐱 not exactly confidence, it’s a bit different. it felt more like… setting down a heavy load 🐺 so your shoulders feel lighter now? 🐱 yeah, and for the first time, i realized, “ah, so this is what it feels like to really enjoy it.” 🐺 then your reason for getting on stage has changed! 🐱 ..…yeah, i think so! 🐰 now you’re getting on stage to enjoy it, right? IGBOs: one thing I have noticed is that y’all don’t even know the difference between Afrobeat and Afrobeats with the S. Fela owns Afrobeat without the S. Fela did not own Afrobeats with the S. Afrobeats with the S was a name chosen by Nigerian musicians coming out with new sounds who needed a name for the genre. Obviously, they were influenced by Fela’s sound, Afrobeat without the S, so they opted for Afrobeats by adding an S to it. That means we are influenced by Afrobeat, but we are adding extra layers to it with different kinds of beats with the S now. If you as an Igbo man are influenced by Oliver or Osadebe, then name your sound Oliver’s or Osadebe’s. But as long as there is Afrobeats, Fela will always be given his accolades for coining the name Afrobeat, from which Afrobeats was coined. Again, Fela’s sound is Afrobeat, not Afrobeats. Musicians in Lagos and other Yoruba land were influenced by Fela’s sound, Shina Peters’ Afro-juju, Barrister’s Fuji music, and Apala. These are all coined genres. Fela added funk, pop, jazz, and highlife together and formed his own genre: Afrobeat. IGBOs: one thing I have noticed is that y’all don’t even know the difference between Afrobeat and Afrobeats with the S. Fela owns Afrobeat without the S. Fela did not own Afrobeats with the S. Afrobeats with the S was a name chosen by Nigerian musicians coming out with new sounds who needed a name for the genre. Obviously, they were influenced by Fela’s sound, Afrobeat without the S, so they opted for Afrobeats by adding an S to it. That means we are influenced by Afrobeat, but we are adding extra layers to it with different kinds of beats with the S now. If you as an Igbo man are influenced by Oliver or Osadebe, then name your sound Oliver’s or Osadebe’s.
