It mirrors data from the official TV servers to provide real-time and historical data. I am not sure about the technicalities on how they are doing it tho

No. First check if you've unarchived the file correctly. Don't move the app out of the root folder because it needs those dependencies to run. It also might ask you to update Python to the latest version when launching
