Traffic engineers rely on turning their brains off and not being held to account for the failure modes of the systems they design, which is an entirely unique position in engineering. If you rely on the MUTCD, you're a dunce.

@USDOT My elderly dad with swollen leg, barefoot was blackmailed and forced to buy another plane ticket from Turkish Airlines because they failed to inform him that, they changed the gate. 'Pay $926 or live at the airport", was said in Istanbul to US citizen by T.A. Now they ignore us.
