What's the point of an emergency chain if the train doesn't stop at such a time? If a passenger falls and no action is taken, that's pure negligence. Indian Railways should immediately investigate and take strict action against those responsible—passenger safety is not optional.

Because in bihar sadly people pull chains randomly nr their village..hence railways don't care to stop as even rail employees are Biharis who knows the stupidity of their own people very well
What was the kid doing by the door? How did he fall off the train? What was the mother doing when the kid was by the door? Take some personal responsibility for the negligence and learn some civic sense. The railway and the government are not the babysitter

Bhai, There are Emergency Stopping Chain in evert bogey. If in one bogey it is not functional, you can pull the same in the next bogey.

Travelling in railways under has become dangerous and pathetic. @AshwiniVaishnaw worst railway minister. Most of the time coaches are full with wait list passengers suffocating reserved seat passengers. There is no meaning of reservation. They are just minting money.

Yes but on the other hand there are people chains mindlessly. You will find working chains on premium trains. Other than that I think railways compensate for the loss. But remember this happened because majority of the people who travel on train don’t have civic sense.
