Training in the 80s vs nowadays ๐๐
30 Comments

Gen X were tough guys "If he dies, he dies"

To be fair, the 2023 guy is training to get bent over in the gym shower

I still train like Rocky IV but itโs not โcuteโ enough for today. ๐

So we're attributing reality to Hollywood movies? ๐คก

Vibes

Sure. Meanwhile here's a picture of Schwarzenegger at his ballet class.

It's "Training in the 80s in fiction with actors on steroids vs nowadays".

Let's not act if they didn't do any mobility and stretching in the 80's.

Traning?????

๐

*checks records* Oh, every sports record from the 80s has been shattered and is basically the standard to even be competitive nowadays? Interesting.

Get the fuck out! You compare an idealized movie training to some schmuck doing his daily routine? Try some MMA guy's training any day.

@catandthecrow Truth ๐๐๐

They need to watch Dorian Yates blood n guts for motivation.

They dont produce real men no more...

What is traning??

I had the Rocky IV setup. lol

So true.. Saw someone at the gym last week doing sit ups on a bench while looking at his phone. I don't get it

A clear example of low T versus normal T

@stoic008

Whatโs โtraningโ ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

Iโm not into โTRANINGโ from any decade. ๐ฅด

๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

๐ ๐คฃ isn't that the truth, wonder why everyone is a wimp

@A_GymGuy

so ure sayin that in 80s there was no fat a lazy ppl?

I love a bit of traning but the high heels are really sore quite fast, where's my lipstick ๐ค

@SuvaGerman @Itarasido

The 80s version was fiction, done by movie stars who had trained for probably a year to look & move like that for those roles; Your โtodayโ examples mainly just show guys practicing form and how to hold the bar, etc.
