Ww1 didn't really have trench clearing. If (If is a big word here) one party reached the defending trench it was basically a big slaughter. Bayonet fights and stuff. No tactical clearing around corners. A big bloodbath involving tens of thousands of men.

Not gonna lie, these trenches are elite. Well done.

They REALLY need to give the pointman a higher cap mag if they insist on this much pre firing. He'd still have been killed by someone holding a prone position though
