So beautifully put Ebele! Thank you for sharing so much light on this 💜 I’ve gotten to a point past couple of months too where I’ve learnt “whatever I do for God, I do because I love Him and not for what He would do in return”…and it’s really amazing!

We are called to obey, whether or not a "reward" is in it or not. We are called to totally trust in God and just obey.

The summary of this thread is thus: " After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Genesis 15:1 KJV May we be forever satisfied with the LORD as our true Reward.

I think the delight of God’s heart is a reward in itself. That the father’s heart leaped at my actions is a joy in itself

Sometimes the end of obedience is simply obedience! Hahaha.

"Whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord" Such a wholesome video. This is the essence of obedience to God. Obedience must not come with a reward but it is simply showing the depth of our live for God.

This is my life. I personally don't like transactional relationships with God. I am truly His, His kingdom, do I have to do something to get something? ( Rom 5) I will like to do and give without placing demands on Him because I know He won't fail when His time comes.

Your opinion is valid. However we must understand that every instruction from God is to our benefit and that necessarily doesn’t have to come with tangible rewards. Believers must mature and move away from bread and butter Christianity.

This is exactly why some women see relationships as transactional. This is promoting prostitution!!!
