I think that's totally unnecessary a rooted pixel 7a with Linux deploy with liniageos is just as good. I run Kali Linux everything in there. If it runs android 12 you accully need absolutely no other gadgets. You accully undercut yourself because he rpi zero has only 512mb ram.

On rooted pixel 7a you can run only Lite version of Nethunter, which is very limited when comparing to functionality of Pi-Tail or full Nethunter with custom kernel. I didnt had any problem with rpi ram, it works flawlessly.

Were you running it on rpi 2 w or on other hw saying it is slow? From my experience, it runs flawlessly over SSH, and bit laggy over VNC. However, it is a trade for having mobility.
