Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is right. The Biden administration created an economy that is dominated by the top 10% while the bottom 50% are increasingly worse off. A reset needs to happen before Republicans shoulder the blame in the midterms.

No, that economy was created by Trump during his first term and then exacerbated by the GOP Congress' refusal to pass laws that benefit the bottom 50% - like continuing the expansion of the child tax credit which lifted millions of families out of poverty.

The Biden administration created that economy? 😂 Cmon man I appreciate your perspectives generally but that’s a clown show comment. The economy may be in need of a reset but that would be based on overspending across multiple administrations on both sides for too long

At least have the balls to call it what it is. It’s called a recession, not a “reset”. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Low-income Americans who voted for Trump say they are counting on him to keep their benefits intact even while his Cabinet picks and Republican lawmakers call on him to reduce federal spending.

This is where we disagree Erick, The Biden Administration was still using The Trump Tax Codes and Tariffs which includes a Tax Cut which Benefited the Top Earners and Corporations…So then help me understand why Republicans shouldn’t tax the Blame?

the bottom 50% will pay much greater percentage of their paychecks on tariffs than the top 10%

Between the uncertainty created by on-again, off-again tariffs and Congress once again kicking the can with a CR, a reset seems unlikely.

This is the same person who thinks the poor will gladly pay more due to tariffs.

So....cutting ore taces on that 10% will help, Erick?

Ahh yes the economy was famously not dominated by the top 10% pre Biden. You're really on the pulse Erick... You're getting blamed regardless, just like Biden got blamed for world wide inflation largely beyond his control. Of course Biden didn't push through idiotic tariffs.

So crashing the market and wiping out millions in people’s savings is the route to a reset?
