HAPPENING NOW Graduates camp outside Department of Agriculture offices requesting re-employment after they were unfairly dismissed. On Tuesday, unemployed graduates set up a camp outside Department of Agriculture in Pretoria to hand over memorandum asking for re-employment. They are saying they will camp outside until the Minister Thoko Didiza and President Cyril Ramaphosa respond to their memorandum and demands.. They are requesting for re-employment of more than 4000 Assistant Agricultural Practitioners. Their contracts was terminated regardless of the 3 years sustainable contract promised to AAPs who met the following criteria, Registered with SACNASP and Not currently a beneficiary of any government grant They are reportedly being chased away by Metro police. #Hyderabad--- Students of #CMR engineering girls hostel on Wednesday staged a protest raising slogans of "We want justice", alleging that videos of them in bathrooms were recorded by the hostel cooking staff in their cell phones. Upon receiving information about the incident, student unions rushed to the spot and extended their solidarity to the protest taken by the girl students. The local police said that they would register a case following the complaints from the #students and launch a probe on the issue.

I met with President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦. I informed President Ramaphosa about Russia’s intensified drone strikes against civilian targets and shared an update on the frontline situation. I emphasized that, unlike Russia, Ukraine is ready for a meeting at the leaders’ level without any preconditions. I am grateful to President Ramaphosa for South Africa’s readiness to host such a meeting and for his country’s engagement in the peace process.

Today, in my capacity as the President of NANS, I led all the structures of NANS, including sister unions, NAUS, NAPS, NANCES and NFSAN to the Community High school, Ahoro-Esiele, and Yawato community in Orire Local Government area of Oyo state, where we visited the scenes where our students and teachers were abducted. Going forward, we met with the King, some of the families of the victims, and parents in the communities of Ahoro-Esiele and Yawato communities. Furthermore, we assured them of our solidarity and support for them in this time of trouble and grief. Subsequently, we assured them that we are constantly calling on the government to ensure the immediate rescue and safe return of the abducted students and teachers.
