President Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said he is actively working on ending Russia's war in Ukraine. In an interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl, he said that "peace is infectious now," and more people want to do peace deals. "Doing a peace deal is becoming infectious. People want to get to this place. I don't think it's coincidental that leaders are now coming to the White House saying, "How do we move a peace deal forward in Ukraine?" Witkoff said. Special envoy also shared that the call between Putin and President Trump was "a very good, very productive" one.

Today, there was an extremely significant statement by President Trump. And it is true: it is Russia who is doing everything to undermine peace efforts and drag out the war. Every night there are strikes, constant Russian attempts to hurt Ukraine. Indeed, peace is possible if we act strongly and decisively, and we have repeatedly said—and all partners know this—that sanctions are a key element. Russia factors in the sanctions, factors in such losses. Peace through strength is possible. Ukraine, as always, is ready to work with America, with President Trump, in the most productive way possible, to end this war with dignity and lasting peace. I thank everyone in our Ukrainian foreign policy team who is working for this—for a truly meaningful relationship with America.

Netanyahu is killing peace. Israel won’t withdraw from areas it has seized in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza despite the peace deal. Iran wants peace. Lebanon wants peace. Palestine wants peace. The US even wants peace. Israel does not want peace. It wants to keep waging genocide and stealing land that does not belong to them. Israel is the problem and must be disarmed, defunded, and dismantled for peace to occur.

Today, Ukrainian representatives will continue their discussions in the United States with President Trump’s team. Our task now is to obtain full information about what was said in Moscow and what other pretexts Putin has come up with to drag out the war and to pressure Ukraine. Ukraine is prepared for any possible developments, and of course we will work as constructively as possible with all partners to ensure that peace is achieved – and that it is, after all, a dignified peace. Only a dignified peace provides real security, and we fully understand that this requires – and will continue to require – the support of our partners.
