The worship has a folklore attached to it, according to which, when the tribes were drowning in the waters of the Soan river, the cow saved them by helping them cross the river while they held her tail. Since that day, they consider her Lakshmi and their saviour, the god. Anyone who kills a cow by hitting her gets punished by the community; they boycott the person for 11 days, after which the person needs to undergo a Shuddhi process. This process involves bathing with turmeric water and shaving of the head. What used to be a traditional tribal practice now involves a Church add-on with holy water being added to this turmeric water; they call it "Ashish Pani". How an illegal speed-breaker accident changed lives of a family in Chennai: It has been nearly twenty days since G Karuppasamy (14), an eight standard boy from #Chennai suburbs in Chitlapakkam went to school and he does not know if he will return to school again. A preventable gruesome speed-breaker accident two weeks ago has sent Karuppasamy, his two siblings and mother in a fix, and now, their first priority is to figure out who will be the breadwinner of the family. "If the speed breaker in Chitlapakkam had some markings, my father would have slowed down the bike and he would be alive now," said Karuppasamy, whose father Govindaraj, a maestri, died hitting on a lamp-post after his bike was tossed off by an unmarked illegal speed breaker. Amit Chaudhary was the only son of his parents and only brother of his three elder sisters. He was about to gt married in Jan 2024. On the evening of 14th Sep he called his uncle and told him that the wife of the colonel at whose house he is posted as a House Help under Buddy system of Army is going to murder him. After three days the family received a call from SM of the unit who informed them that they are sending the dead body of Amit to Jammu. The family received the Body on 19th Sep and even now no one from the Army bothered to inform them about the cause and reason of his death. Family is alleging that Wife of the Colonel was forcing Amit to do things with her which he was not comfortable with. And that leads to his murder. Its such a serious allegation and if this is true its a shame for the entire force.

I don't even know how to go to bed with this heavy heart 💔😭 There is this lady on tiktok that makes really interesting videos with her maid Precious. The girl looks very happy and well taken care of and she has somehow become a member of the family.
