Yes! That's what I was thinking would happen. Trident would keep Hammer close so it couldn't build up speed. As we saw against Grower, constant hits are bad for Hammer.

This fight is such a good example of Trident’s fighting style. Closing distance does mean that they get hit more often but this is in exchange for guaranteeing hits which allow him to scale. It’s high risk but high reward and particularly useful against Hammer who gets stronger
