Brooklyn: Coney Island Avenue & Avenue M, four people were taken into custody Tuesday night following a violent robbery that left a 23-year-old man injured. According to police, the incident occurred Tuesday at approximately 3:50 p.m. near Dahill Road & 38th Street, where the victim was sitting inside a park when he was approached by multiple individuals. A verbal dispute broke out and quickly escalated into a physical attack. The suspects allegedly punched and kicked the victim before stealing his jacket, wallet, and cellphone. They then fled the scene in a white Ford pickup truck. EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Hospital with minor injuries. Officers from the NYPD 66th Precinct, along with 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐦 and Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol, obtained the vehicle’s license plate and began tracking it. The truck was later located with all four suspects still inside. NYPD officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested all four occupants, who police say were responsible for the violent robbery. Suspect # 1, a 19-year-old male, who lives in Brooklyn within the confines of the NYPD 78th Precinct, was arrested and charged: • Robbery in the 2nd Degree (aided by another person) • Robbery in the 2nd Degree (causing physical injury) • Robbery in the 3rd Degree • Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree (property taken from a person) • Assault in the 3rd Degree (intent to cause physical injury) • Petit Larceny • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (5th Degree) • Assault in the 3rd Degree (reckless physical injury) • Harassment in the 2nd Degree (physical contact) Suspect # 2, a 33-year-old male, who lives in Brooklyn within the confines of the 70th Precinct, was arrested and charged: • Robbery in the 2nd Degree (aided by another person) • Robbery in the 2nd Degree (causing physical injury) • Robbery in the 3rd Degree • Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree (property taken from a person) • Assault in the 3rd Degree (intent to cause physical injury) • Petit Larceny • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (5th Degree) • Assault in the 3rd Degree (reckless physical injury) • Harassment in the 2nd Degree (physical contact) Suspect # 3 was a 17-year-old male Suspect # 4 was a 16-year-old male.
