DONT IGNORE!! At approximately 1:50am past midnight, a 9-year-old child was spotted outside Quickmart Supermarket in Kilimani near Hurlingham, being used by an adult woman to beg for money from members of the public. I approached them with the intention of rescuing the child and taking her to a children’s home for safety. However, the woman-whom the child refers to as her “auntie” quickly lied to her, telling the young girl that I am a bad person. The child, confused and frightened, ran away with her before any help could reach her. Moments earlier, a man had approached us and appeared to have harassed the child earlier , causing her to break down in tears. This is extremely disturbing. No 9-year-old should be exposed to such danger, especially in the middle of the night. This is not ordinary begging. This is child exploitation and endangerment happening openly under our watch. If anyone knows the parents or guardians of this child, please inform them that she is being used to beg for money in Kilimani near Hurlingham, outside Quickmart, late into the night. I urgently call upon the Children protection unit, law enforcement agencies, and all relevant authorities to intervene immediately and secure this child and any other children who may be facing similar abuse. A child belongs in a safe home, in school, and under protection not on the streets at 1:50am begging for survival. This matter requires urgent attention. Let us not look away.

A young boy was caught on camera taking off running up the street and the person filming had no idea whether to call for help or what to do - they noted he may be autistic which adds a completely different layer to this situation. Whether that is the case or not a child running alone in the street is dangerous regardless of the reason and the priority is always getting that child safe first. If you ever see a child running alone and in potential danger do not hesitate - call 911 immediately and stay with the child until help arrives. How would you have handled this? You may be the only person standing between that kid and a serious accident.

2 cases wherein a child was bvllied - How the parents reacted changed everything! Case 1 Amaira was 9 yrs old when she committed suesyde after being bvllied for 18 MONTHS! Some people criticized me for blaming the parents - but I'm sorry, if your kid is being bvllied for 18 months & you don't even bother changing her school & simply say "we kept complaining but the school didn't do anything" - you ARE at fault. How can a parent be so passive and apathetic to a child's plight? Imagine what a 9 year old would have gone through to jump & even have such thoughts. Case 2 Compare this to how this girl was protected by her father when she was bvllied by her teachers at age 14. When parents stand up for you & protect you, the child feels safe and happy. This gives them a very strong self esteem coz they subconsciously believe that they'll always be safe and supported. Not standing up for your child or being passive/apathetic is nothing short of a massive heartbreak for a child. The child feels isolated, unloved, neglected and lonely. It crushes their self esteem and makes them more vulnerable to toxic people in life - coz subconsciously they believe no one will help them. For a child - their whole world is their parents. And when supported by their parents, a child feels that the whole world is on their side. I wish every child could get parents like these.
