This exact video was posted damn near word for word by someone else a few months ago. I honestly can’t believe how shamelessly people just steal video concepts and repost them word for word, it’s embarrassing.

I show up 13 minutes before my teetime that I squeezed in and haven’t picked my clubs up since 2 weeks ago. Roll 6 putts on the putting green then I’m off. Around hole 6 I adjust to loosening up finish 76. I mean you are just not an athlete.

What if you play 3-5 times a year and still shoot in the high 70s-mid 80s with twenty year old clubs?

Golf can drive the strongest dude’s to absolute madness. It’s a game for sickos and I can’t make myself stop playing it.

Golf must be one of the few things where the 10,000 hours rule doesn’t guarantee mastery. I love/hate it.

7.3 handicap here It's taken 30 years with 30ish rounds a year to get here. Most importantly, the exercise, being outside and the cherrished friendships are the reasons I play. Don't be a hater cause you get your ass kicked.

Anytime I play with a random who happens to be really good I have a go-to line. Once they make a few good shots, the next good shot I always say “this cracka don’t never see his family”. It’s 50/50 on how it’s received.

Ran into a new golfer yesterday (said he'd been playing 1.5 yrs). Ask how its going. He said not too good. Told him I've been playing for 50 yrs and its still going bad. Reminded him unless he plays all the time, he'll always struggle. Nature of the beast

His basic point though is that it's pretty hard to get better than mediocre at golf. So if someone can do that, I am impressed if they have a decent family and a job.

Vehemently disagree. I’m a 7. Play twice a week and the last time I hit balls on a range was during the Obama administration……his first term.

Golf is a nice way for people to get out and compete, against themselves or others. I can't get on the wrestling mat or baseball/softball field at a high level anymore so I am thankful for Golf.

Not really a hot take, just a wrong take. I’ve played for years. Only have access to golf max 7 months of the year. Played about 20 rounds this year. About once a week. Shot 74. 6.6 handicap. Love the game, don’t go to the range.

What is the point in playing?

Its impressive if you are a single digit and not at a course 4/5 times a week. Anyone playing more than 20 times a season is a loser like this guy says

This is absolutely true. Pretty much every good player at our club is a single male with no kids or divorced and spends his whole life on the golf course. It’s very pathetic. Golf is the biggest drain of time. I can see why only losers do it because they have nothing going on.

They’re either naturally athletic and don’t require years of lessons, or they’ve busted their ass to become a single digit thru hard work. I think most people who play can appreciate either case.

You need more impressive & athletics friends. Being mediocre at golf is not that hard. I play once/twice a year and live in the low 80s. I have a friend that plays less than me and can shoot 76 on command.

Can definitely be a 0-5 handicapper and not play much. Muscle memory is a cool thing.

I just dislike golfers who take themselves way too seriously. I enjoy watching mates and people I play golf with play really good golf. But the minute they start carrying on like they are playing for the Masters, get the fuck outta here.

If you goal with golf is to be amazing then sure, but if your goal is the enjoyment you get from all that golf your playing then no I don’t agree

This guy is crashing out Im a single digit HC & I will be the first to tell you I suck BUT Ive only played like 6 rounds this year. Golf isn't for everyone to be decent at the sport. It sounds like this guy doesnt know how to find the center of the face :(
