Triggering the datamosh effect whenever the player ragdolls or whenever the camera switches. Not sure about the camera transitions it makes it hard to navigate, but it's perfect for a damage effect imo. [ Music: Autechre - acdwn2 ]

imo, this can be used for something really smart in a very simple way. Like the enemy chasing you but without physically assaulting you, so you have to discover how to deal with it. An eureka moment you also have everyone saying your game is in second person hah

I can imagine this for a robot main character, when you get damaged it scrambles your sensors for a moment so you lose tracking for your environment kindof deal. Can you gradually fade in the datamosh? Maybe a visual indicator for health or battery of the main character, as power drains the sensors start becoming unreliable etc.

Can you keep the effect on the environment but keep the player unaffected / paint it over clean?

Why does this reminds me so much to Cyberpunk 2077? I love it

This reminds me of the effect that the Hiss from control have when they move or get hit. I think it would be cool if, depending on the damage, the color of the datamosh would change, like red for fire. (im totally not a game dev, just some nobody with opinions.) Cool work here!
