Renovation going well. Rooms look good - like the new Balconies.

The only casino in LV that got a good (“quite comfortable”) rating from 007 (Sean Connery no less) in Diamonds are Forever.

Is the guttting of the building and leaving the skeleton a way of removing the asbestos before implosion?

Yes.

Never set a foot in that building and never cared for its architecture, but for some reason the whole thing feels kind of sad. I now understand the old-timers that felt sad to see demolition of places like Sands, etc

wow I knew they were tearing everything out of the towers. I didn't know they had already torn down most of the bungalow rooms already. i thought those were the ones with asbestos and were going to take more time due to that. also I feel like they are going really quick.
