UPDATE: A LOT of tropical moisture on the way across Florida the next 5-10 days. For example, those moisture levels will be 50%-75% above average, which will aid in developing numerous rounds of storms across the state. Values shown are PWATS or precipitable water levels. Around 1.6" is typical this time of the year for Florida, which you'll notice we'll be above the next 7-10 days. Some online chatter about tropical development. Not impossible, but current odds are low. Physics-based models show the potential, AI models largely don't. Rainmaker regardless if it tries to form into a weak tropical/subtropical system or not. We need the rain!

Deep in extreme drought, #Florida needs a good soaking. Good news: there’s strong model support for a tropical connnection setting up across Florida in about 8-12 days! This should deliver some widespread significant rain to the state and there’s even the outside chance of weak tropical development nearby, as #hurricane season begins. Although I’d say the chance is remote. Still the potential for a good soaking #rain is high.

Best way to think about it is that Florida will see a one-two punch. The first one will bring us rain Sunday into Monday with an area of low pressure along a stalled out front. Then the 2nd, main punch from tropical storm or hurricane approaches on Tuesday into Wednesday. WINK News

⛈️ Heavy rainfall and flooding threat from South Texas to the lower Mississippi Valley A multi-day episode of heavy rain will be driven by the interaction of a nearly stationary cold front, tropical moisture, and a tropical disturbance. The tropical disturbance is currently located over Mexico and will gradually move toward South Texas. According to the NHC/NOAA, the chance that it will organize into a tropical cyclone remains low, around 30%. Regardless of whether a tropical cyclone actually forms, the system may bring intense showers and thunderstorms along the western and central Gulf Coast. Over the next four days, widespread rainfall totals of 4 to 6 inches are expected from the Texas coast into Louisiana, with locally higher amounts possible. Such rainfall totals could trigger flash and river flooding, posing a significant threat to life and property. ⚠️ Please monitor official warnings and follow the instructions of local authorities.

They are 5-0 in the Sunbelt. People have wanted a winning product, and Huff has delivered by flipping a 1-11 team over night basically. The Eags not only have a chance to win the west, and play for a conference championship. But win out and with some help there is a small outside chance of being the G5 team in the playoffs. 62th day of our movement, the Sit-In at NPC, Islamabad wraps after a long march and a continuous Sit-In for more than a month in the harsh weather of Islamabad. Our movement was successful in the sense that it mobilized the Oppressed Baloch from remote and unreachable corners of Balochistan. Who had been subjugated for long now. While the administration of Islamabad and State vowed to continue it's Genocidal policies in Balochistan reflected through it's behaviour towards the protesting families. And We, as a nation have vowed to Resist for the sake of survival. This movement has not ended, but has entered a new stage, where it has become our collective duty to stand against the inhumane policies of State in Balochistan. Soon the Caravan of the #MarchAgainstBalochGenocide will be heading towards Quetta.

That’s the difference of a little to 3”, or the 8-9” advertised by the UK model Short range hi res models still 2 days out til we see that, but wording has dropped into the official long range NWS forecast for this chance of snow for the 2nd half of the weekend All of this of course follows our deepest freeze in 7 years that kicks in about midnight Thursday and will get some -30° and dare I say -40° wind chills by sunrise Friday. Talk about model agreement? 14 models all go at least -20°

GRAF showing just how close the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast came to a major storm this weekend. Liquid forecasts in those heaviest offshore bands in the 1-2" range, so that's around a 10-20" snowstorm had it been farther west. Whether you wanted it or not, we did just miss a big one!
