'True Meanings' turns 5 today. Reflective, pensive, and acoustically driven, what do you think about the album 5 years on?

Very poignant given it’s theme as a dear friend, and fellow fan - Nick - passed not long after release. We last saw each other at the Festival Hall gigs. X

For me it's my go to Weller solo album every song an image created.. Sit back close your eyes and let your mind wander.. White Horses reminds me of my late father who died a year before it's release.. "my father thought me how to be"... I well up... Incredible the hunger to write

Like it today as much as I ever did. The album has a touch of class. 'Mayfly' and 'The Soul Searchers' are favorites. #Weller

A masterpiece and one I return to often

Easily one of his best. Timeless. Know I’ll say the same about it in another five years and five years after that

Fantastic Record, one of the best

@paulwellerHQ, having listened and loved since 1978, for me “True Meanings” would be up there with the best collection of songs on any of the albums. IMO not quite the best, that has to be AMC or SR, but definitely the best of the recent releases. Full of top tunes.

It’s a glorious album which I have been playing a lot recently, that along with the RFH live recording, & also the Orchestrated Songbook recording!! I went to the Utrecht gig on the Thursday, came home & managed to get tickets for the RFH Saturday night show. Absolutely stunning.

Impermanence, interdependence and emptiness, this is my favourite Weller tune lyrically and acoustically perfect #Zen like quality. Thankyou Paul…👍🏼

I love this album. Very different, but yet has Weller’s trademark class and stamp all over it. Stick it on late at night, with low lights and a large whiskey if that’s your thing and you’ll be lost in its beauty.
