Trump and Republicans’ attacks on public broadcasting are direct attacks on the free press. NPR, PBS, and others keep every community in America safe and informed. They’re an essential public good and we should increase their funding, not cut it.

It’s not public broadcasting… it’s left wing propaganda

Public broadcasting isn’t a public good—it’s a taxpayer-funded platform for partisan narratives. The CPB’s $770 million handout props up bloated bureaucracies and redundant programming while rural infrastructure crumbles. Real priorities? Border security, energy independence, and slashing inflation. NPR’s claim of “universal service” ignores the fact that private media thrives without federal subsidies. If local news collapses without government cash, maybe it’s time to rethink unsustainable models instead of forcing Americans to fund biased content. Redirect that cash to actual emergencies—like the border crisis—not D.C.’s pet projects.

You're a moron. The funding of any press organization by the Federal government is NOT a Constitutionally mandated responsibility of the Federal government according to Article 1, Section 8 therefore the 10th Amendment applies. In fact, it would violate the ideal of a free press.

NPR is a democrat shill for globalists and you know it. If they can't make it on their own in a free market then they should be dismantled

You're not exactly a ringing endorsement for PBS. It's unfortunate that of all members of Congress, you should be the one to speak out in their defense. My point is that you've lost a tremendous amount of credibility with your open support of Hamas.

No, funding has nothing to do with their free speech. They can still speak. They just can’t freeload on the tax payers dime. Another Jayapal lie!! Seattle deserves so much better.
