Eric and Don Jr. have recently invested in several mining companies so based on prior experience, the odds are that these companies are looking for a chunk of this money.

Like Silica sand that was a rare, important piece for oil fracking; it took a very empoverished rural community to employment and residents with money. Yet; the Nay sayers liked having their county poor. Absolutely! A Jack Pine County in Wisconsin. Absolutely!

Why do we have to boost manufacturing or mining? If they’re profitable endeavors people will do those things. The issue is the barriers to entry, regulations, taxes, and the cost of living caused in large part by debt forcing higher wages to try and compensate for the dollar not stretching as far as it used to.

Capital announcements are the first layer; mineral security depends on permitting time, processing capacity, offtake, price floors and downstream qualification. A mine without domestic refining can still export the strategic bottleneck. The unglamorous middle decides whether $3B buys resilience or headlines.

The move forms part of efforts to strengthen defence supply chains and reduce reliance on foreign sources for minerals vital to technology and weapons production. Video in the post shows Trump speaking at an event with mining CEOs under banners promoting American jobs and mining, highlighting the administration's focus on the sector.

I wonder how much money the Trump family are making in these projects. Where is the $3 billion coming from.
