Gag orders do not stop you from testifying. Lawyers that know they can't allow their client to openly lie in court do. They know their career is on the line. His followers believe him, anyone that knows the law knows he's full of it.

He's not only a liar of the highest order, but a moron too thinking he could say this w/ no consequences or followup. The Judge is now obligated to question him to make sure that he understands he has an absolute right to testify or not testify, and that the gag order is no bar.

Yesterday Trump claimed that he's not allowed to testify in his NY criminal case because he's under a gag order. Anyone with half a brain would know that a gag order doesn't stop you from testifying, and criminal defendants always have the option of testifying. Stop believing what Trump says.
