TRUMP INVITES U.S TECH CZARS. U.S Big tech (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta,Apple) are rich in part because they earn (2 lakh crores) from places like India. For this they have an obligation to India. But not one told Trump to stop India bashing. India's only an ATM?

India’s over-reliance on American tech is nothing short of digital slavery. We’ve already seen how quickly they can weaponize their platforms, remember when Microsoft cut off Outlook & Teams access to Nayara Energy under the pretext of EU sanctions? If they can do that to a major Indian company, they can do it to anyone. China built its own digital ecosystem. Russia too. Even Europe is pushing for digital sovereignty. Why are we still living at the mercy of American companies that treat us as a market, not a partner? What needs to be done: Decouple gradually, build strong Indian alternatives for cloud, search, email, social media, e-commerce, and operating systems. Tax them heavily Levy a digital services tax on foreign tech that siphons Indian wealth. Strategic control-Mandate local data storage, prevent sudden weaponization, and protect Indian businesses. Promote Indian champions, Incentivize Indian startups to scale up, and replace dependency on U.S. giants. If we don’t act now, tomorrow our entire economy could be shut down with just a flip of a switch from Silicon Valley. India is not America’s ATM. India is a civilization. Time to reclaim our digital sovereignty.

They make around 2 lakh crores from ads, subscriptions, and all that but what people often overlook is the value of user data. In today’s world information is everything. The kind of data they’ve collected on us is beyond what most can even imagine, and its uses are endless.

They employ lacs of Indians in India and offer the highest paying jobs in India. These employees in turn are some of the highest tax payers in India. Mentos khao dimaag ki batti jalao. They are doing to Trump what you do to Modi - sucking hard !

Time for all of them to be taxed heavily/special penalty. Trump says it's one sided ? He has conveniently not included services and technology one sided ness of American companies in the Indian market. These are never one sided. If India is selling products to the USA it is coming at the cost of these companies having access to Indian markets.
