Democrats approval ratings being this low doesn't surprise me at all. They have a base who is more or less obsessed with Trump and care more about opposing Trump than doing anything productive. Trump is succeeding in doing alot of things he wants to do, so the democrats’ TDS infested base is not going to be happy. Democrats also care more about looking virtuous than being virtuous and that has become more and more apparent over time. Independents are picking up on how full of crap many democrats are and I think it’s showing in the polls.

Yes, more people are attempting to come across the border now than under previous administrations, but the borders aren't more "open" now, except for Biden ending the harsh "remain in Mexico policy" and COVID restrictions expiring.
