President Trump is 100% right, this EO is airtight. Verified citizen list + traceable ballots = basic election integrity that should’ve existed years ago. Only American citizens vote in America. Trump just signed an executive order going after mail-in voting, and it is the same authoritarian garbage he has been pushing for years: lie about fraud, scare people about elections, then use federal power to make voting harder. The order tries to build a federal list of who is supposedly eligible to vote in each state and squeeze mail ballots through new restrictions, because Trump cannot stand the idea of a democracy where more people participate. He lost in 2020, never emotionally recovered, and now he is still trying to rig the rules around his grievance addiction. What makes this even more pathetic is the hypocrisy. Trump keeps trashing mail voting as corrupt while using it himself when it suits him. So this is not about “integrity.” It is about control. It is about narrowing the electorate, bullying states, and turning federal agencies into tools for voter suppression dressed up in bureaucratic language. Same scam, different wrapping paper. The bigger story is that Trump is once again treating the Constitution like a suggestion and the presidency like a weapon he can point at whatever part of democracy annoys him. Mail voting helps working people, disabled people, rural voters, parents, students, and anyone who cannot spend half a damn day standing in line to perform democracy on command. Trump knows that. That is why he keeps attacking it. He is not trying to protect elections. He is trying to control who gets to vote in them.

So Trump's Executive Order "cracking down" on mail in voters simply pushes the millions of illegals who vote (they don't vote, but we will humor him) to cast ballots in person. Does not seem to solve much, and it will be challenged. The Constitution gives no role at all regarding voting to the Executive (the Founders did not want King George to be able to set voting rules for reasons that are all to obvious).

US federal code: The Tuesday next after the 1st Monday in November, in every even numbered year, is established as the day for the election, in each of the States and Territories of the United States….. It’s doesn’t say days…votes are to be cast “on that day”. Especially not for days after.

If you just take a look at the Constitution you can see how they will challenge this.
