Keep in mind China will still sell to allies who will then sell to us if we don't close loopholes. If China manages to renegotiate tariffs the USA will end up losing this exchange and Trump will come out of this looking like a fool. The long term vision always should be to bring back buy it for life manufacturing products, like the refrigerators of the 60's that are still running to this day.
