@EarnYourLeisure Ok this explanation makes sense but saying it’s jobs across the board has always been a reach. Not to mention the biggest benefactor of DEI programs just like affirmative action is usually white women who are considered minorities too.

Black people that find success through the acceptance or permission of white supremacy get amnesia; And forget they are the exception, not the rule. Just because you made it does not mean every Black person can navigate the same oppressive systems that have taken from us for generations. What Pharrell Williams said sounds like someone who does not recognize the privilege he carries and the fact that everyone does not have that same story. And nobody is saying they’re are trying to be Pharrell. Some of us are simply trying to get our small Black owned businesses off the ground. So when you tell people not to support Black owned businesses just because they’re black, you harm those smaller businesses first. And you’re doing white supremacy’s job for them. Please stop. 🛑
