Trump’s tariffs, which I conceptually support, have excluded the interests of small business and e-commerce start ups. Here is how to change that!

The GOP needs to eliminate income tax and all payroll taxes. That has to happen for these tariffs to fully work.

Run just in time supply as tight as you can, but no it’s not impossible for retailer or supplier to store some product. Used to be common place to stock a little inventory, and btw in a national emergency that’s critical. Raise prices a bit, as everybody must. Globalism is over

Nailed it! What about any company that makes anything? You can’t just switch production overnight to another country, as that takes months or up to a year. 90% of every product you see in Target or Walmart is produced in China.

My daughter’s Mother in women’s clothing industry. Many small lines produced in China, companies sell current season to get cash to produce next season. Cost to bring in product now will put many of them out of biz. They agree better to produce in US but need time to pivot.

Ackman story about must-have from China is no help now. Tell Ackman, make American, buy American. You should know this. The opportunity now is domestic start ups for the glass bottles etc, not betting it will all go back the way it was soon.
