“If you respected them, you would do what they asked…” -?! We asked them to stay out of spaces and sports for women. Did they respect that? No. We asked them to understand why we can’t lie about material reality. Did they respect that? No. We asked them to leave our kids alone. Did they respect that? No. We asked them to have a civil debate. Did they respect that? No. For the record, they never “asked” us. They forcefully demanded and violently silenced anyone who did not agree. Their virtual world gave them a false sense of power. They plotted and positioned themselves to game the system and sadly our kindness was our vulnerability. No more. Accountability is here.
