ICE deported the illegal alien owners of a home and allegedly did not call animal control to pick up the two dogs left inside. While I fully support deporting every illegal alien in the country, the dogs are innocent in all of this. It takes very little time to make a call to animal control, so they don’t suffer or starve. The dogs shouldn’t have to pay the price for their owners’ illegal presence in the country. Should ICE be required to call animal control when deporting people who leave pets behind?

After following them from an elementary school where they’d been circling to a parking lot, I was able to get a few words in. This is part of that conversation. As you’ll see, in a genuine conversation, even this ICE agent understands that they must be accountable. And when I’m elected to congress, we will hold ICE accountable- every agent who abused their authority, pepper sprayed kids, or illegally broke into someone’s home. But until November, we have to use our voice in whatever ways we can. Protest. Make noise. Talk to your friends and neighbors. Support your community. And if you get the chance at a safe distance- even talk to an ICE agent– and make it clear that if they want things to change, they must be part of that change. This is how we get ICE out of Minnesota.
