This might be the craziest workflow you'll see this week. From #VR greyboxing to 3D worlds with the help of #AI. The 2 tools I used are ShapesXR and Marble from World Labs. Let me tell you why and how. - ShapesXR is the most powerful and fastest way to assemble 3D scenes at scale. - The library of assets + ability to sketch from procedural primitives gives the perfect balance between speed and freedom. - ShapesXR allows you to export your creation as a glTF that can be used as a "3D prompt" into Marble - Marble now allows you to create a panorama using a 3D scene as input increasing DRAMATICALLY the control you have during the creation process - Through the workflow you can adjust textures and objects in the scene using AI inpainting - There are tons of options on how to use the final output (create a #GaussianSplatting, export collision mesh and even a detailed mesh 🤯) This is the perfect examples of how VR creative tools improve and accelerate the design process... so make sure to follow me if that's your jam 😉.

To support massive, high-fidelity worlds, our engine implements an efficient LOD strategy with a cloud transcoding system that streams meshes and textures, even on lower end mobile devices. We are expanding this framework to AI upsampling of 3D worlds from prompts. In this preview video below, with a single user prompt, our 3D upsampling technology updates the geometry and texture to transform the classic Roblox game Crossroads into a fantasy world with rich organic detail. 3/4

In Prompt Engineering for Vision Models, taught by Abby Jacques Verre and Caleb Kaiser of Comet , you’ll learn how to prompt and fine-tune vision models for personalized image generation, image editing, object detection and segmentation. The prompts you'll use for vision models could be text, point coordinates, or bounding boxes, depending on the model. You'll also learn to tune hyperparameters to shape the output. Models you'll use include Segment-Anything Model (SAM), OWL-ViT, and Stable Diffusion. You'll also learn to fine-tune Stable Diffusion to generate personalized images (say, an image of a specific person), using a handful of images for training. As an example of a multi-step workflow, you'll use OWL-ViT to detect an object based on a text prompt, then pass the bounding box to SAM to create a segmentation mask, and input that mask into Stable Diffusion to replace the original object with a new one based on a text prompt. Big news I found a way to convert Gaussian Splatting into a standard mesh while preserving all the visual advantages of Gaussian Splatting, such as reflections, shadows, and lighting that changes depending on the viewing angle. The result is excellent performance, even on an old laptop or a VR headset. And of course, the mesh can be animated like any regular 3D mesh, while still keeping the visual benefits of GS. I’ll soon show a full-body character animated using this technique.

New clean 3D AI workflow Control Rig physics in UEFN! Been exploring some more hybrid AI workflows lately, and for 3D assets splitting the model into parts is kinda essential. This video shows my first test using AssetHub, one of the cleanest ways i've used to keep the whole generation process organized. It auto-detected the pose in my main image and broke it down into parts, then generated images for each. From there I can just iterate on each piece separately and generate the 3D models in one workflow. AssetHub is still in closed beta atm, so let me know if you want to try it out. Main reference image came from Grok Imagine. All the part images and high poly meshes were done in AssetHub, selected Tripo 3.1 as the main model. After that I ran it through Hunyuan 3D for retopo + unwrap. Final assembly in Blender. Baked normals from high to low poly. End result: under 60K tris, 3 materials, 2K textures. Also Control Rig physics in Unreal Engine are insane. It finally validates in UEFN too, so of course I had to test it out.

It generates meshes of complex 3D objects closely resembling those created by professional artists. It opens the door to a more realistic generation of detailed 3D assets for animation, gaming, and virtual environments. The current version accepts the following control inputs: - Point cloud: Determines the shape of the output mesh. - Face count: Determines the density of the output mesh. - Quad ratio: Switches between quad and triangle tessellation. - Creativity: Can be adjusted to generate extra details in the model. Meshtron can either serve as a stand-alone remesher to improve the quality of existing models, or be used in tandem with a text-to-3D or image-to-3D model to generate artist-grade meshes from scratch.
