"We'll give you money without having to sell your shares." That was a standout quote from terence's appearance on Stabledash Live last month. It picked up real traction online, and we knew we had to dive deeper into what he's building and the why behind it. Terence is building techdollar, a lending platform that lets tech employees borrow against their startup equity. Banks have been pricing that equity as speculative venture. Terence doesn't share that view. He thinks it's the most mispriced asset in the market. His goal, in his own words: "Keep your equity. Get cash now." In this episode we cover : > How TechDollar lends cash against startup equity > Why lengthy IPO timelines make this problem worse every year > What it actually costs an employee to sell their shares > Programs that let employees spend their equity without selling it > Spending cards in your Apple Wallet funded by equity you never had to sell Stableminded Ep. 0061 out this Thursday Presented by Latitude, Latitude

American Perpetuals CEO Theodore Gillibrand explains why the biggest opportunity for crypto perpetuals may not be crypto at all, but traditional finance: "Perps have an even bigger opportunity to break out of the crypto industry and almost make a name for itself as something that is a major major technological breakthrough that has a ton of use cases and opportunities for broader markets than just crypto." "Crypto, a few trillion dollars here and there, maybe $100 billion a day in perpetual volume. Look at all of the equity markets. Trillions, a trillion dollars a day in underlying spot equity trading. You get maybe 20, 30 trillion in equity swaps volume. You get all sorts of different assets that perpetuals can theoretically break into and expand." "You start with equities, but then if you think of what all the underlying securities entail, look at fixed income. That is maybe the biggest opportunity for perps in terms of expanding and innovating on top of what people use treasury dated futures for in managing their duration book." "The perp can do that much better, and that's trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars in potential volume for perps. Not a lot of people see it yet in terms of that scale."

Vibhu explains how Backpack 🎒 lets users turn tokenized stocks back into actual shares "Backpack is a full brokerage, so it's one-to-one. They seed liquidity, and if demand outweighs the supply onchain, they progressively buy more shares on the brokerage side and mint them onchain." "And you can redeem your tokenized equity for the actual share itself. They built an equity bridge that works on both sides. I can take my equity from my brokerage and move it onchain, or take it off, and it remains equity the entire time."

$AMZN Founder Jeff Bezos's on not taking up additional equity at Amazon after founding it: "How could I possibly need more incentive than owning such a significant stake? Most founders own big chunks of the company. They don't really need it; they're more like owner-operators. The way they increase their wealth is not by getting more equity. They just want to make the equity they have more valuable"
