The most intriguing aspect of a perpetual motion machine is discovering where they’ve hidden the battery.

It’s like a 5-line proof that gravity (in fact any inverse square field) is conservative over a line integral… in other words, this is a waste of time. You can’t extract energy (or perpetual motion) from a conservative field.

I get why the machine will not work, but why do we not have more machines with this concept that only require an occasional push from an external source to keep it perpetual, even if falsely so.

Creating a perpetual motion cog involves designing a system that continuously moves without external energy, defying traditional laws of physics.

Motion so endless, like the flow of time, inspiring thoughts that forever rhyme. In the dance of gears, a poem unfolds, where perpetual motion the story holds. Your cog's motion, a never-ending tale, like a poem with a rhythm that will not fail.

It needed to be started by hand: Energy was used to start it. That energy is used as it rotates.

Interesting experiment, but remember: perpetual motion defies the laws of physics. Still, creativity drives innovation!
